Hello,
about one week ago we had a disruptive earthquake which caused death and lots of damage.
Besides the human casualties, we had a damage of about 5B euros (more than 6 billion dollars) and it hit our industries in one of the top regions that produce the wealth and occupation in our country.
Despite the earthquake was not incredibly strong, it kept having subsequent shakes for almost the same magnitude of the big hit and we are still experiencing adjustment quakes that are causing more damage.
The phenomenon caused soil to rise by 12 centimeters (4.7in) in the whole area (satelite measurement).
Now, I am the Holder of the largest EvE charity, I have tens of billions sitting there that could be converted in PLEX to send to those living in those areas.
Therefore I humbly request you start an emegency campaign to aid the victims and the many, many (tens of thousands) workers now without a factory to return (and many without an home at all any longer).
Here is the regional institution to contact to send the money: Protezione Civile Emilia Romagna.
If needed I can contact them and translate Italian <=> English as it's needed.

Probably nowhere.
I should have created a shallow topic about bunnies nice weather and I'd get more feedback. Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

For reference, the charity operation has been showcased by CCP CEO Hilmar at Fanfest 2011. This video is proof of having sent PLEXes for a total value of US $4286.
It is still a drop in the ocean but it's still better than a fat nothing. Along with the other donors, the amount could be easily 50 times more than that. Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

See, earthquakes are common indeed . But so far they are getting about 1 quake of 4.5+ Richter every other day, had multiple "main" 5.8+ earthquakes and now the nasty stuff decided to hit another region as well (very very minor damage there, furtunately). It's still ongoing as I write.
What is imho worth mentioning is not the quake per se, but the consequences. 35,000 factories have been stopped and many got destroyed. This created a massive humanitarian issue, because there's lots of people now in tents, in cars (since 2 weeks) many are going to be unemployed in a country where losing job = lose income for years (very high unoccupation rate).
Since a picture is better than 1000 words, let me show a tiny sample:
Look at this rift. It tells exactly what happened, no words needed.
Castles, churches, monuments, many have been destroyed or are so compromised they will have to be demolished. Vast scale destruction (in some areas it's 100 percent)
One of the thousands factories that got destroyed. It was not some decrepit old hovel but built with anti-seismic criteria (yeah it helped a lot).
Another factory. The region is very industry heavy.
Many houses and MANY historical buildings and monuments got destroyed.
Another house, feel free to Google for "terremoto emilia romagna" to find hundreds.
More destruction
And I am here, with tens of billions gathered exactly for these disasters and I can't do anything to help.
CCP please investigate on this event and let us donate! Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

Another 4.3 Richter earthquake this night. Factories evacuated again and people all back into tents, under hot summer temperature. Every time (basically every other day) this happens, they have to re-check what factories of the 35,000 affected are still safe for the workers to enter (we already had some crash and kill the returned workers ).
Since the safety check teams are too few, it means weeks with no work and further loss of customers, who demand strict timing or just go do business with other countries. Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

I should have created a shallow topic about bunnies nice weather and I'd get more feedback. Harsh truth is: earthquakes are not rare thing. Every year somewhere something happens. So your post really is not so interesting to people. back to topic: let me know when to donate PLEX. This, there was a 6.1 earthquake in peru 4 days ago. Wheres there PLEX drive? They wont get the media coverage like italy will so it'll go mostly unnoticed like many earthquakes around the world. I think this needed to be a private thing sent to CCP first because making it public just seems like you're begging and plenty of that goes on in GD as it is.
I don't know how things go in Peru and I am certainly not against sharing a campaign if something disruptive happenedthere. I know that here we have lots of ancient palaces and monuments that have been promoted by UNESCO as humanity heritage and those are extremely fragile and get destroyed by smaller events than in other places in the worlds.
You know you'd might feel the hurt if a quake got to Rome and destroyed 80% of its buildings and monuments. Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

These buildings were all inhabitated, they were not a museum.
